Aesthetically I'm not ready

hi beautiful angel friends,
welcome to What Is This Regarding? where we take a critical lewk at wtf’s going on around us. this week, I can’t lewk away from what I can’t lewk away from: things I’m not aesthetically ready for.
aesthetics are a weird thing that feel both alchemical and also algorithmic. some things we’re drawn to, others we’re sold. do i like checkerboard or did my explore page make me buy it? or has it been burrowed away in my brain since building blocks and childhood posters?
I’m going to take you on a ride with me today, in two parts:
(1) a thing I’m currently afraid of but might be into after it’s microdosed my way enough times:
Boots that are pant legs
did I miss something? are they secretly fabulous? would carrie bradshaw pair these with an oscar ballgown to meet big downtown at casino? tell me????? bc im deeply afraid that i’ve gone full boomer mode and just. don’t. get. it.
but there’s very much a world in which i… eventually get them. and like them. and buy them. and…. wear…. them…. in…. public.
let’s move on to a safer zone:

AND while i must say i hate the guy with the sign (sorry if you’re the guy with the sign and you’re reading this) but i truly am still irked by the flare-without-a-pant-boot (sorry if you’re wearing the boot but this newsletter isn’t for the faint of heart!!!!!)
