tis the season to rebrand

welcome to What Is This Regarding? where we take a critical lewk at wtf’s going on around us. This wk we’re gonna talk about how transitional seasons are difficult af. whats the weather? what do we wear? who the f am i?
is it time…..GASP….to rebrand…..again?
i for one do not see this as a *fUn* opportunity for self expression. i see it as a hurdle to jump yet again - INSERT DRAMA - everything makes me crabby in this in-between-szn - especially when i’m outed as an unidentified pal ala stanford blache.
ANYWAYS. who are we becoming? identities of interest, LFG:
(1) *~*MYSTERIOUS 4 SUMMER**~~**
i love the idea of ignoring the elements and just being MYSTERIOUS. i’ve spent the last 30 years cheesing and stressing. what if….. i hid?? is what i’ve been missing in every sznal rebrand….. MYSTERY????
there’s so much one can do with this transcendent attitude. using volume, balaclavas, and technical fabric, veiling emotions has ENDLESS aesthetic opportunities.
(2) le multidisciplinary (but also undisciplined) ARTISTÉ!!
THIS is our moment. to bake, throw clay, paint large scale works, make curtains, and also to do none of them but TALK about doing all of them! A LOT!!!!!
THIS is our summer. where we pose with arms crossed and mouths shut - no teeth showing for the artisté! we’re rocking faded black, monochrome earth tones, and sipping caffeine at ALL HOURS. THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL.
i like how laid back this is - a spill can become a paint splatter; think of the transformations of slob to snob!!!! grab your dean and deluca tote, we’re ready to slay.
