hi gorgeous,

welcome to What Is This Regarding? where we take a critical lewk at wtf’s going on around us. i rly tried not to write this newsletter but it's been haunting me in my sleep so here we go 🚨 I AM TRAUMA DUMPING 🚨:

i can’t with the guys with the long hair in ponytails that looks bad in a ponytail but also looks bad down like what is the point my dude are you gonna get a blowout??? are you gonna deep condition? what is the journey and the purpose?????

i RLY don’t mean to be a hater but i can only run from my authentic self for so long and i have to draw the line here.

It’s something i just don’t GET. you know this guy. he wears his long hair in a ponytail and then on special occasions he puts it down. but it looks bad down too???? i’m not talking about long hair KINGS. bc those are TOTALLY OKAY! MORE THAN OKAY!!!

i rest my case.

i have to believe tho there is a DEEPER MEANING to this look. it can’t just be for no reason or we wouldn’t all have a friend of a friend or a coworker who is DOING this.

i may not have any answers but i do have a scissors and an interest in cutting off someone’s ponytail today so pls hit me up if this is someone you know or is you.

now that that’s out of the way we can chat about some positive things too.

i’ve been really searching for what is THE vibe ever since over a year ago when someone asked me exactly that:

“What is THE vibe?”

THE answer is I still don’t fkn know but I WILL thought dump some ideas of possibly THE vibe at THE hope of getting THE answer.

THE end of y2k core: we all stop wearing baby tees and von dutch hats and being obsessed with VHS tapes and not obscure references of a time when people were just straight up bullied by paparazzi and BBM’ing on bedazzled blackberries. we all instead stop doing ANY -core, like no more CorpCore and instead we all just go ahead and wear cool baggy pants and baggy tshirts and kinda just look like something inside a Fruits mag and call it a day.
Just be Guy Fieri: there is basically no one as self-actualized as Guy. So maybe… THE vibe… is just being Guy? Or wait maybe it’s just being the most you. But no it’s definitely just all of us being Guy.
Inner-Peace: OK this is definitely THE vibe. Just doing soundbaths and napping and kinda working but not being super worried about anything just overall vibing heavy and doing your thing.
