welcome to What Is This Regarding? where we take a critical lewk at wtf’s going on around us. i am often late to the party, but in many ways the late birdie gets the worm. this wk, i started playing Animal Crossing and i’m here to report that my gorp-core avatar is living her best mf life on a deserted island filled with wildlife, DIYing, and so much more.
this experience has opened my eyes, not just to a world beyond earthly limits, but to a new dream: BECOMING AN E GIRL.
this feels like a conceivable next step. kitten ear headphones? chatting for hours? playing in nature? museum philanthropy? yes yes yes yes.
but also… does e-girl life choose you or do you choose it?
the inner optimist in me says to naruto-run full speed ahead at this dream. but the skeptic? she says that this might just be fleeting.
with that, my trusted friend, i ask you to vote:
moving on! this wk whilst sewing, i watched Selena and here’s what I thought:
a masterpiece.
the emotion. the terrible yet iconic 80s “THANKS DAD!” moments - it was all… so familiar, so moving, and the end??? similar to my lateness to animal crossing… i didn’t KNOW THE TRAGIC TRUTH.
spoiler alert: keep your friends close and your fans far away.
my literal obsession is the fact that selena designed her stage clothes and OPENED BOUTIQUES. this font. is everything:
if your clothing store doesn’t contain ETC. and INC. in it GOODBYE AND GOODNIGHT.
